JOB SUMMARY:

An FMCG client is seeking to employ a Designate Manager in the West Rand. The suitable candidate must be willing to work longer hours and must be knowledgeable about the FMCG industry.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Stock management and stock systems
Providing excellent service to customers
Take pride in daily work activities and ensure that his/her Department/s is clean and tidy
Must ensure that his/her staff are clean and tidy
Be aware of prices, price labels and price changes
Be able to count accurately
Be able to apply and adhere to standards
Be friendly and co-operative with customers and be willing to help them
Able to stay calm in conflict situations
Understand payment methods and procedures
Understand customer service principles
Have or to acquire the knowledge the procedures to be followed when a price query is encountered
Have or to acquire the knowledge who to refer customer problems to if unable to sort out or help the customer
Understand relevant legislation involved
Take responsibility for his/her daily tasks and that of staff members to ensure that the work is done to the expected standard
Take responsibility for mistakes / errors made and discipline where necessary
Must be able to plan and organise the activities of the branch/shop effectively
To solve staff problems adequately
To motivate others
Promote teamwork
