Dev Ops and Site Reliability Engineer

SUMMARY:
International Fintech company is looking for an experienced DevOps and Site Reliability Engineer to join their Gauteng team.

POSITION INFO:
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Deployments and deployment process with the aim of CI / CD and overall automation so developers can deploy without manual aspects
• Maintaining and improving monitoring and provision of metrics around systems to ensure scalability and reliability
• Overseeing our alerting mechanism and logging mechanism and providing standards and raising and addressing issues.
• Ensuring resource allocation and load reliability to the microservices ecosystem
• Assisting Team leads with providing information and guidance when I am unavailable
• Identifying and Documenting missing aspects in regards to the system and how an aspect works. I.E Microservice architecture and the standards around that
• Assisting with Technical reviews, and architecture reviews
• Tech department initiatives i.e DevsOPs API, Redgate to provide standalone developer DB
• Evaluation of the system to ensure it remains scalable and reliable at all times and provide solutions and recommendations if issue is found
• Monitoring of load and system aspects 
• Team lead reviews and spot checking of reviews
• Reviewing of tools and how we use them and with the aim of improving aspects of them i.e Redgate
• Assistance in improving processes i.e Reduce scope of pull requests via tool etc
• Assistance with Audits
• Assisting with the recruitment process
• Weekly with Team leads

• Relevant qualification
• 2 to 3+ years in an operations or software engineering role
• Experience in testing (manual or automated testing
• Web and digital project experience advantageous
• Agile working experience advantageous
  Fintech/Financial Services experience advantageous
