POSITION INFO:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering and cloud infrastructure, with a passion for automating and streamlining operations. This role requires collaboration with software developers, system operators, and other IT staff members to manage code releases and deployments
What you'll do:
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Develop and maintain infrastructure using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps.
- Cloud Services Management
- Deploy, manage, and monitor services on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Monitoring and Logging
- Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
- Configuration Management
- Manage system configurations using tools like Ansible, Packer or SaltStack.
- Security
- Implement and manage security best practices, including IAM, network security, and vulnerability management.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with development teams to ensure that solutions are designed with scale/performance and operability in mind.
- Automation
- Identify and automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reliability of deployments.
- Incident Management
- Respond to system and service incidents and participate in root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement.
Your Expertise:
- 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or related role
Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications
Relevant certifications such as:
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
- Google Professional DevOps Engineer
- Azure DevOps Engineer
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Powershell, or Python.
- Experience with version control systems, especially Git.
- Strong understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
- Knowledge of networking concepts and security best practices.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
