DevOps Engineer 1663

SUMMARY:
We are currently recruiting for a DevOps Engineer with the following skill set : 

• DevOps 
• CI/CD and automation 
• Jenkins with Build Pipelines 
• Knowledge of Apache 2.4 & WebLogic 12.1.3 / 12.2 Server and above 
• DB admin, design, development, stored procedures, patching, etc (highly advantageous) 
• SQL with Oracle, Tables and Views, (Postgres and DB2 advantageous) 
• QlikView/QlikSense and/or other Qlik and BI technologies (highly advantageous) 
• Informatica and/or other ETL tools (highly advantageous)

POSITION INFO:
The role tasks :

• 2nd level and limited 3rd level support & maintenance for an internal web application. 
• AWS Cloud, API, Java, Microservice and other Serverless support and maintenance. 
• Environment Management. 
• CI/CD pipelines setup and configuration. 
• Monitoring and management of ITSM support tickets to ensure SLA’s are not breached. 
• Analyse and fix Production Known Errors. 
• Support other team members with ad hoc tasks including database queries, troubleshooting, production issues, defects, test data creation, testing, etc. 
• Patching of application and web server rooms, and databases using self-service tools. 
• Logging of change tickets. 
• Prepare Production deployment artefacts. 
• Prepare Production deployment plan documents. 
• System implementation / deployment & release activities. 
• Production support & hyper-care after production deployments. 
• Shutdown and restart of servers as required. 
• Website monitoring and monitoring of queues. 
• Site performance analysis. 
• Meet with end users and gather requirements or details regarding system issues. 
• Analyse and Implement new system requirements specifications. 
• Ensure that all processes are investigated / considered in obtaining the specifications of the user requirements. 
• Review and present proposals / system solutions / fixes to IT Project Lead, DevOps Team, QA Team, and Product Owner / Business team. 
• Implement solutions and processes in line with IT Security standards and other compliance topics, quality standards and delivery requirements. 
• Ensure compliance & adherence to standards for audit adherence and quality assurance. 
• Actively participate in daily stand-ups. 
• Actively participate and contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, story size estimation, sprint reviews and retrospectives. 
• Update user stories in Jira and documentation in Confluence. 
• Perform Peer Reviews. 
• Perform demos of user stories in Agile ceremonies. 
• System testing/parallel runs. 
• User training. 
• Ensure user sign-off. 
• Preparation of system/technical documentation (as per ISO standards). 
• Preparation/Updating of user and operation manua
