SUMMARY:
Responsible for deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and implementing system integrations that support eCommerce, Operations, Manufacturing and distribution needs.

POSITION INFO:

A solid background in software engineering is a requirement and a familiarity with cloud computing patterns, continuous deployment and continuous integration practices is a must.

Essential Qualification, Skills and Experience

BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field (not essential)
Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
Proficient with git and git workflows
Good knowledge of software design patterns
Good knowledge of C#, Asp.Net Core, Windows Server Operating system, HyperV and SQL Server
Working knowledge of databases crafting SQL statements and views as well as frameworks such as Entity Framework
Working knowledge of REST API patterns, Microservices and JSON
Good knowledge of event-driven architectures
Good knowledge of web security patterns such as JWT security tokens and OAUTH 2.0
Experience in reporting dashboards such as Grafana
Understanding of Elastic Search, Docker and InfluxDB
Understanding of networks, internet protocols and how they are secured
Problem-solving attitude
Collaborative team spirit

Role Responsibilities

Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure
Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers
Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
Testing and examining code written by others and analysing results
Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’
Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions
