JOB SUMMARY:
Our client, leading in the financial services industry is looking for a talented DevOps Tech Lead to join their technology division in Cape Town. This candidate is driven by technology and motivated to innovate, comfortable with taking the lead and setting the technical direction.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities

You have mastered the fundamentals and have had extensive hands-on experience with advanced technical subjects.
You know what the industry best practices are, how to implement them and drive the application and enforcement of them in the team
Tech leads are co-authors of our technical roadmaps, they have input in our direction and the responsibility to ensure we are undertaking the correct initiatives to support our business.
As a tech lead, you will engage with various stakeholders to ensure that we deliver on business requirements while also advancing our technical strategy
As a technical expert you will take on complex and challenging work items.
You are still a leader even though you do not manage people, you have experience with driving collaboration and communication, ensuring a strong alignment between departments.
You are a mentor and assist the Team leads with the technical growth of the teams

Requirements:

Experienced with Microsoft Azure and DevOps
Experienced with Infrastructure as Code
Experienced with Configuration Management
Experienced with High Availability deployment
Experienced with build pipelines and CI/CD in general
Experienced with Team City & Octopus Deploy
Experienced with Artefact management using Nuget
Experienced with relational database design and Microsoft SQL
Experienced with version control (Git) and a good understanding of branching and merging
Experienced with monitoring tools like Redgate SQL Monitor, Zabbix, etc.
