Development Engineer – Pretoria East

POSITION INFO:

Together with our client, an electronic manufacturing company in Pretoria East we are recruiting for a Development Engineer who will be Responsible for designing, creating, and testing new developments and test equipment. The ideal candidate must hold a B-Tech Electronics Engineering/BSc/BEng qualification and 5 - 10 years’ experience in an engineering environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyse Technology.
• To give inputs into the writing of system requirements of future products.
• Advise management on new test systems and developments.
• Identify technology risks and propose risk mitigation options.
• To advise regarding the use of new technologies in upgrading existing products in terms of both enhanced performance of existing functionality as well as new functionalities.
• Prototype development based on system requirements.
• Develop and design schematics and PCB layout based on client system diagrams.
• Develop and design schematics and PCB layouts based on client acceptance test procedures to integrate with the company’s CTS (Configurable Test Solution).
• Develop new products based on client concepts and inputs.

Required Minimum Qualifications

• B-Tech Electronics Engineering/BSc/BEng Electronic Engineering
• 5 - 10 years’ experience in the engineering environment.
• 3 years work experience in Altium Designer
• 3 years work experience in embedded programming
• 3 years work experience in MS Visual Studio C# programming

Salary: R -----.00 – R -----.00 per annum (depending on experience)
