Development Engineer

SUMMARY:
One of my clients based in Johannesburg is looking for a Development Engineer that can develop new, or improve existing software products or administration tools through innovation and research of different technologies to provide a blasting solution.

POSITION INFO:

Job & Company Description:

• Develop control equipment to generate better blasting solutions.
• Design and develop necessary firmware/software solutions for successful project completion.
• Create system, test and technical specifications for new products.
• Compile test reports on new products that have been tested.
• Develop and write components and interfaces as required.
• Keep abreast of global developments in the internet and software technology and provide direction with regard to software developments.
• Integrate the Software Development with the business strategy, customer requirements, and electronic detonator chip technology development.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new software into client sites and interface and satisfy clients in this process.
• Create system, test technical specifications for new products.

Education:

A Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• 5 years’ experience and C++/QT experience
• Mobile Applications at commercial level, Android/ IOS required
• Web development experience with [Java Script, HTML5, PHP, CSS
• Experience with OpenGL, SQL, Linux and Windows
