SUMMARY:
Do you enjoy product design and development? Join an established company where you can use your CAD skills to not only design and develop products, but also be involved in the production and manufacturing stage of a new product.

POSITION INFO:

Responsible for the design and development of product

Managing projects and tasks assigned to in accordance with company standards

Responsible for supporting production and manufacturing within the company

Liaising with suppliers and customers

Participating in the RFQ phase

Establish and maintain engineering standards

Responsible for documentation and co-ordinating and monitoring prototype build

Skills & Experience:

Must have experience in the launch of a new product

Must be proficient in 3D CAD packages (Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor)

Proficiency in 3D CAD package CREO will be advantageous

Proficiency in CREO surfacing (reverse engineering) will be advantageous

Computer literate (MS Projects, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)

Experience in providing leadership on tasks/projects assigned to

Must be pro-active and take initiative

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Minimum 2 – 4 years’ experience in product development and design

Qualification:

BSc / BEng / BTech Mechanical Engineering

Valid Drivers’ license

Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
