Development / Project Manager (I.T. Dept.) - Western Cape - George (Garden Route)

POSITION INFO:
A well established Company based in the Garden Route - George, is looking for a full-time Development / Project Manager (I.T. Dept) to join their team.

Purpose of the role:

Managing a team of Project Managers, front and back-end developers and QA Support staff. 
Manage projects and ensure that the applications remain adaptive to emerging client needs.

Responsibilities:

• Networking and client relationship management (building clients trust, planning sessions, reporting, understanding business requirements; impact and risks)
• Delivery and support of specific applications (manage team activities, prioritisation process, co-ordination of requests, capacity management)
• Technical capacity, quality and standards (prevent technical issues, produce and enable a capacity plan, make recommendation of improvements of the SDLC, PM or ITIL processes
• Project management (manage activities within the SDLC (acting as process owner), scheduling and prioritising tasks, managing arising issues, adhere to quality, standards, SLA and SDLC standards)
• Human Capital Management (driving the teams development skills, staff training, conflict management, and performance management)
• Contribute to digital systems strategy and technical direction

• BSc in Computer Sciences OR Information Systems OR equivalent IT tertiary qualification
• I.T. Project Management experience
• Knowledge of ITIL and SDLC (Agile Methology exp. will be an advantage)
• Minimum of 8 years Systems Development experience
• Minimum of 5 years experience managing a software development team
