Development and Research Manager Exports - Crop Protection

SUMMARY:

An established manufacturer of specialised agrochemicals is seeking the above to develop products and spraying programmes for all crops in the EAF Export Region (Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe) by working closely with the regulatory team, and to provide technical support to Customers by using various methods of communication.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a BSc Degree in Agriculture
• AVCASA will be an added advantage
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Agricultural Pest Control or similar agrochemicals will be required                            
• Previous spraying/application experience is essential as the calibration of various spraying equipment is crucial for accurate results
• Must be able to liaise with the Regulatory Department regarding the development of New Labels and also make responsible Label changes and extensions

• Organising Farmer Days and Training Sessions for Customers and Farmers in different Countries.
• Preparing Annual Budgets for Farmer Days and Training Sessions.                        
• Developing Products (BSIN and Pesticides) and Spraying Programmes for all crops in the EAF Export Region.
• Providing Technical Support on a daily basis to Customers using various methods of communication.                            
• Driving different processes to obtain new Registrations decided on by the EAF Export Manager.
• Initiating, developing and writing all Trial Protocols.
• Ensuring all Trial products are ordered and shipped to the different Countries on time.
• Liaising with Research Institutions regarding payments for trials, and making sure they get paid on time.
• Liaising with research Institutions and provide protocols that need to be followed.                       
• Liaising with the Regulatory Department regarding the development of New Labels and making responsible Label changes and extensions.
• Driving the Registration process from start to finish.
• Working closely with the Regulatory Department to update the product system often and correctly.                               
• Liaising with all the Registration Authorities in the different EAF Export countries and with the Regulatory Department to ensure that all Registrations are in place and annually renewed.
