Intermediate Digital Marketing Analyst / East London or Remote
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and strategic skills, along with experience in data analysis, SQL, building dashboards, and using technology/automation to optimize marketing and e-commerce efforts. They should also be familiar with Google Analytics, Big Query, and integrating data and platforms. Experience working in a digital marketing agency or similar role is required, experience with e-Commerce is preferred and experience in the education sector is advantageous
Overall, the Digital Marketing and E-commerce Analyst will be responsible for leveraging data to drive business decisions and improve marketing and e-commerce performance. They will work closely with the marketing, e-commerce, and admissions teams to ensure a seamless user experience and drive conversions.
Essential work experience and Minimum requirements
Qualification in Marketing, Business, statistics or a related field
3+ years’ experience in digital marketing and e- commerce analysis
Experience with big query and integrating data and platforms
Experience with implementing and managing Google Tag Manager
Experience with A/B testing and experimentation methodologies
Knowledge of e-commerce platforms (eg WooComerce, Shopfiy, etc)
Experience in digital marketing agency or similar role is a prerequisite
Strong communication skills and ability to present complex data insights to stakeholders
Self-starter with a passion for using data to drive business decisions
Expertise in SQL, Google Analytics, Data visualization tools (Tableau, Google Data Studio etc.)
Knowledge of digital advertising platforms (Google ads, Facebook ads etc) and SEO
Beneficial work experience
Basic working knowledge of distance education and the use of technology
Experience in the education sector is advantageous
Familiarity with HTML advantageous with a basic understanding of website structure and basic coding concepts.
Responsibilities:
Own and manage Google Analytics to track and report on all performance marketing activities, including but not limited to PPC, SEO, email marketing, and social media.
Analyse and report on all e-Commerce data including total revenue and ROAS from advertising efforts.
Work with the development team to implement tracking and tagging solutions to ensure accurate data collection and reporting.
Analyze large data sets using SQL and Big Query to identify trends, insights, and opportunities to improve digital marketing and e-commerce performance.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Google Data Studio, etc.) to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
Manage and visualize data streams to ensure high-level of visibility across the business, including blending and/or integrating data.
Collaborate with the marketing and e-commerce teams to design and implement A/B tests, experiments, and campaigns.
Monitor and provide integrated insight on digital marketing campaigns across multiple platforms (e.g. Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Email Marketing etc.) to increase conversions and ROI.
Identify areas of improvement in the e-commerce sales funnel and recommend solutions to increase conversion rates.
Work with the admissions team to optimize the application and enrolment process for online courses and qualifications, ensuring a seamless user experience.
Identify opportunities to automate and streamline data analysis and reporting processes.
Provide strategic guidance to stakeholders based on data insights and industry trends.
Stay up to date with the latest digital marketing and e-commerce trends and technologies.
Manage relationships with third-party vendors and agencies as and when it relates to the role
