Director: Transaction advisory services and Valuations

SUMMARY:
One of our clients, a giant in the Management consulting industry is looking for a Director with experience in the same industry or Audit firm, with experience in business valuations and due diligence, in Transaction advisory services.

POSITION INFO:

This person will be responsible for the below responsibilities to name a few:

• Engage with internal Policy committee, EXCO, and Extended EXCO on matters for which he/she is allocated responsibility as required
• Create developmental opportunities
• Drive the implementation of talent management policies and processes for his/her mentees
• Responsible for the delivery of the Transaction Advisory Services and Valuations strategy
• Manage Senior Managers, projects, and clients on a day to day basis
• Manage multiple projects at a time and also lead/direct teams
• Deliver on multiple due diligence, valuation, and JSE regulatory advisory projects
• Detailed professional report writing
• Involved Perform detailed n operational and financial analytical analysis
• Generation and detailed financial and valuation modeling

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified CA(SA) – Must have been qualified for a minimum of 10 years
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Corporate Finance (specifically a strong due diligence background but also solid valuations and other transaction advisory skills)
• Experience at an Associate Director level in a Big 4 firm or a Director in a Medium or Small Auditing firm
• Financial due diligence skills (extensive experience across multiple sectors)
• Business valuation skills (equity instruments, debt instruments, impairments, PPA’s etc, Excon approvals.)
• Regulatory (JSE advisory) skills and experience a plus
• Strong financial modeling skills (in excel)
• Analytical skills (operational and financial analytical analysis)
• Extremely strong report writing skills (articulate, clear, professional)
• Project management skills – must be able to work on more than one project at a time and also lead/direct teams of juniors and project plan and manage.
• Ability to work to strict deadlines and under pressure.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, self-starter, and “driver”
• Various ad hoc responsibilities
