POSITION INFO:
The Links at Fancourt, one of Africa’s most exclusive golf clubs and the Number 1 ranked golf course in South Africa since 2014, is now recruiting for a Director of Golf, to manage all aspects of The Links Club at Fancourt.
The Director of Golf at The Links will be on the front line, delivering on the vision for the club – the number one Golfing Experience in Africa, that sits comfortably amongst the best in the world.
The successful candidate will be unwavering about excellence in terms of Member and Guest experience and service standards, understand The Links brand standards and will take ownership of and pride in being the key driver of success for this very special club.
He or she will have a proven track record and success in delivering a world class golfing and hospitality experience, by creating and upholding exceptional quality and standards.
Key to success in this role is the building of positive, lasting relationships with Members and Guests alike, being commercially minded and innovative.
We are looking for an enterprising, dependable individual who value relationships and achievement. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience and success in the following areas:
- Relevant qualifications
- At least 3 years in a similar role / environment
- Strong leadership skills (communicate, problem solve, inspire, motivate, and support of a high-performing team)
- Strong managerial competencies (attention to detail, administrative, financial acumen, technological, commercial)
- Understanding of and ability to deliver on 5-star hospitality standards and experiences
In summary, the role requires the Director of Golf to:
- Own the role of custodian of the brand
- Drive innovation
- Build and maintain member- and guest-centric relationships and service standards
- Manage, lead and coach the staff – both golf and operational
- Deliver hospitality excellence
- Grow the business and revenue
- Available to work when the team and customer needs support
