SUMMARY:
A leading client in the food manufacturing industry is looking for a Dispatch Clerk to join their dynamic team in Pietermaritzburg. This role is important for making sure products are sent out to customers on time, ensuring that all orders are accurately processed and transported in accordance with safety and quality standards.
POSITION INFO:
Duties:
- Ensure the accurate and timely dispatch of food products to clients and distributors.
- Prepare and organize transportation documentation, including delivery notes and invoices.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to pick, pack, and label orders.
- Monitor stock levels to ensure that orders are fulfilled without delays.
- Communicate with transport teams to schedule deliveries
- Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards during the dispatch process.
- Coordinate with the logistics department to resolve any issues with delayed or incorrect orders.
- Ensure that all dispatched goods are packed and labeled correctly for transportation.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in dispatch, logistics, or warehouse roles (preferably in the food manufacturing industry).
- Knowledge of food safety rules and standards.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Great attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
- Ability to work well both in a team and on your own.
