SUMMARY:
Our client has a position available for a Distribution Supervisor in Aeroton, Johannesburg. Candidates who have good experience within Distribution and/or Logistics within FMCG
POSITION INFO:
Purpose/Objectives of the Job:
- Be willing and able to work shifts.
•Reconciling the Trip list to the Customer list and addressing discrepancies as required.
• Reconciling outgoing stock against pick lists.
• Assists with stock control, by:
• Completing back flushing utilizing a Back Flushing Worksheet provided by the Production Team and checking the stock in the finished product warehouse.
• Leading a team of Drivers and Van Assistants, by:
• Assisting in the management of resource allocation (Human resources and vehicles) and communicating to affected parties as required (direct).
• Assisting team members with daily planning.
• Utilising driver debriefing feedback to address concerns in the trade and or discrepancies brought forward.
• Participating in knowledge-sharing and problem solving one on one sessions with team members as required.
• Listening effectively and encouraging the open expression of ideas and opinions within the team.
• Motivating and encouraging employees to continuously improve processes within the team.
• Invoices, pick lists, Customer lists and Trip Sheets are created for all Drivers daily.
• Correct stock is distributed according to pick lists, and this is double checked prior to dispatch.
• Stock movements are captured into MFG Pro and correct stock information is readily available through the system.
• Stock discrepancies are identified, investigated, and reported on regularly.
• Driver and Van Assistant teams are managed correctly and are lead according to our client’s culture and requirements.
• Work on site starts promptly in the mornings and all employees have access to the building.
Education and Experience:
• Diploma/Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management or related field
• 5+ years Distributor Supervisor experience in South Africa
