POSITION INFO:
We are looking for a Domain Architect to join the team with the following skills:

Job Purpose:
Facilitates the development of the right future-state architecture and ensures its effective adoption. Provides overall direction, guidance and definition of architecture programs that effectively support business strategies. Advocates and supports the enterprises IT strategies, identifying and analyzing enterprise business drivers, analyzing the current IT environment to detect critical deficiencies, recommends solutions for improvement and develop strategies for aligning IT to the business. Trusted technology advisor to business in realising the business strategy for the relevant discipline. Responsible for the end-to-end view across both Capabilities and/or Solution Architecture disciplines, ensuring alignment across relevant domains.

• Assist in the development of the organisation's IT Strategy and the on-going maintenance thereof w.r.t. emerging technology utilisation
• Facilitate the organisation's knowledge and understanding of current and emerging technology - and how it can be leveraged for maximum business benefit
• Calculate the organisation's Technical Debt and ensure this is regularly communicated to organisation Exco
• As directed by Business demand, calculate Business Cases for emerging technology deployments to meet business need
• Facilitate regular Innovation Days and Innovation Workshops for detailed understanding of emerging technology capability

• Primary focus is on the development of the Enterprise-level future view w.r.t. ICT and systems
• Focus will include all supporting artefacts required to effectively and professionally deliver the Enterprise-level future view, including Principles, Standards, Reference Architectures, Patterns and Innovation Ideas and Workshops
• This role scope will include Solution Architecture where required by the organisation
• Interacting with ITSM and ESM stakeholders to facilitate timeous capacity upgrades and technology refresh cycles

• Introduce Architecture Patterns and Anti-Patterns as well as Reference Architectures to assist in Solution Architecture designs
• Interact continuously with business leadership to clarify IT expectations, solicit information and determine architectural requirements
• Assist IT Strategy with the necessary detail surrounding current and future technology capabilities
• Provide leadership and vision for the optimisation and rationalisation of ICT infrastructure - aimed at increasing capability and/or IT cost savings and/or IT Service Levels.
• Provide an Enterprise Architecture Centre of Excellence capability to the organisation
• Provide mentorship and coaching to all Architecture teams within the organisation

• Bachelor's Degree in either Information Systems or Computer Science
• Honours or Master's Degree (or higher) in either Information Systems or Computer Science
• TOGAF Foundation Training
• TOGAF Certification
• Information Technology Architect Certification (ITAC) (Open Group)

• 4+ years as a Domain Architect

• Advanced knowledge of systems development life cycles and systems development methodologies
• Advanced knowledge and application of a variety of hardware and software platforms and integrated information systems
• Advanced knowledge in IT Domains of information, security, application, technology infrastructure and integration
