POSITION INFO:

Our client a global tech firm is seeking a Domino Developer to join their team in Sandton on a contract basis, they offer stability, growth, an excellent working environment and an excellent salary package

Description

• The Lotus Domino Developer will work in a professional and comfortable work environment where the core focus is on learning, growth, knowledge sharing, teamwork and collaboration.
• The Lotus Domino Developer will work in a team with other Lotus Domino Developers within boundaries of strict service level agreements.
• The Lotus Domino Developer will be exposed to excellent training opportunities both internally and externally.
• This exposure also occurs through support and enhancement engagements.
• The Lotus Domino Developer will be based at the Britehouse Digital Head Office or at the customer site/s.
• The Lotus Domino Developer must also be willing to do business travel to customer sites as per business requirements.

Requirements

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS AND KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

• Perform application maintenance, performance tuning, security, and troubleshooting.
• Develop, maintain, perform, and test Applications and their Performance
• Perform all technical processes related to system development life cycle
• System definition, requirements analysis, design, development, testing, optimization and implementation. Is also be responsible for creating test plans and supporting documentation.
• Work closely and effectively and maintain good relationship with other team members, and in-house software development, project management, QA, and system admin teams.
• Research, and evaluate new application trends and technologies and provide best practices and recommendations.
• Willing to learn other platforms
• Building new applications as well as making enhancements and handling maintenance for existing applications
• Integrate solutions into the technical infrastructure by staying abreast of current Domino/Notes standards and industry technology
• Monitor application changes and identify potential impacts to the infrastructure
• Perform project management tasks as needed to ensure enhancements are delivered on time, and meeting user requirements
• Lotus Notes Development including web enabled systems and integrating with backend DB2 / SQL Server.
• Responding to customer requests and ensure that solutions are built to specification and client requirements
• Communication skills, both verbal and written.
• The ability to solve problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Required (not-negotiable):
• Grade 12 Senior Certificate (Matric)
• Lotus Notes Certification
• Fluent in English (read/write)
• A relevant university computer science degree or equivalent.

KNOWLEDGE

Required (not-negotiable):

• A solid understanding of Domino server architecture and design
• Experience in application designs, performance/tuning,
• Proficiency in Lotus Script, Lotus Formula Language, JavaScript, HTML, XML , JSON, MSSQL
• AJAX and Implementation of AJAX in Lotus Notes, Knowledge of JavaScript Framework
• Experience with Relational Databases such as SQL, Oracle and IBM DB2
