Draughtsman / 3D Scanner

REQUIREMENTS
Matric, relevant qualification, own car and drivers license
CAD & Revit Application certification essential
Experience Auto-Cad-related products.
Ability to manage 3D Total Station Scanning.
General drafting methods, tools, and symbols used in architectural, civil, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
Basic principles of construction cost estimating.
Ability to draft plans and specifications from detailed sketches and instructions.
Make appropriate modifications to existing drawings.
Understand Data tables, data relations, and data querying.

DUTIES
Update and maintain plans and drawings of the Client's buildings and facilities in both CAD (Revit) and MAPS format.
Prepare CAD drawings from site surveys whereby there may be no records of existing floor plans.
Survey building and/or Building Sites with 3D Total Station equipment creating point cloud data and building up point cloud data to enable the import of the data into a Revit application.
Provide detailed drawings and assist in calculating the total Gross Lettable Area (GLA) of a building based on the South African Property Owners Association (SAPOA) method of measurement.
Update and maintain SAPOA records of buildings maintained.
Work with the Client’s staff, architects, engineers, and contractors regarding any information required and/or updates to existing drawings.
Be able to assist the Clients with tenant layouts and needs assessments and to keep records of revisions.
Inspect project sites to make sketches, take and confirm measurements, take photographs; document actual site conditions to aid in developing architectural designs.
Responds to immediate safety and/or operational concerns to take appropriate action to resolve
Attend and participate in provided training or information sessions
Assist in data capturing, clients training, and data maintenance
Project management for a minor client project.
Presentations to clients on the applications
Observe safety requirements and safe work practices and methods as required.
Prepare charts, graphs, and diagrams.
Prepare correspondence to clients, maintain accurate records and reports on completed assignments.

Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience
