Are you a skilled Drill Rig Operator ready to take your career underground?
Our client, a leading Chrome mining operation in Burgersfort, is looking for a highâperforming, safetyâfocused Drill Rig Operator to join their production team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate underground drill rigs safely and efficiently
- Drill blast holes to exact depth, angle, and layout specifications
- Conduct preâstart inspections and report mechanical issues
- Support the full underground mining cycle and meet production targets
- Maintain accurate drilling logs and safety documentation
- Work closely with miners, blasters, and shift supervisors
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Drill Rig Operator Certificate of Competency (essential)
- 2+ years’ underground experience operating drill rigs in hardârock mining
- Chrome/platinum/narrow reef experience is an advantage
- Grade 12 (preferred)
- Valid Red Ticket and Medical Fitness to work underground
- Strong safety mindset and ability to work in confined spaces.
