Drilling & Blasting Area Manager

SUMMARY:
Seeking an experienced DRILL & BLAST AREA MANAGER for our client in Witbank, MP.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in the opencast mining industry and will be will be responsible for overseeing several drilling and blasting sites.

**South African Citizens and those living in the area will be preferred**

POSITION INFO:
Experience & Qualifications

Education:

• BSc (Eng) Mining Engineering, or
• DMRE - Mine Managers’ Certificate of Competence.
• DMR Opencast Blasting ticket

Computer Skills:

• Microsoft Office incl Excel and Word.

Personal Qualities:
Honest, reliable, positive, team-player, pressure resilient, deadline driven and persistent.

Skills:

• Team player
• Self-reliant and motivated
• Planning and detailed execution of plans.
• Multi-tasking.
• Problem solving.
• Safety driven.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 Years in Management role in the Opencast Mining Sector.
• Drilling and Blasting background.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Managing several complex sites.
• Site Manager and personnel
• Maintaining Client relationships.
• Site costing
