SUMMARY:
Seeking an experienced DRILL & BLAST AREA MANAGER for our client in Witbank, MP.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in the opencast mining industry and will be will be responsible for overseeing several drilling and blasting sites.

**South African Citizens and those living in the area will be preferred**

POSITION INFO:
Experience & Qualifications

Education:

BSc (Eng) Mining Engineering, or
DMRE - Mine Managers’ Certificate of Competence.
DMR Opencast Blasting ticket

Computer Skills:

Microsoft Office incl Excel and Word.

Personal Qualities:
Honest, reliable, positive, team-player, pressure resilient, deadline driven and persistent.

Skills:

Team player
Self-reliant and motivated
Planning and detailed execution of plans.
Multi-tasking.
Problem solving.
Safety driven.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Experience:

Minimum of 10 Years in Management role in the Opencast Mining Sector.
Drilling and Blasting background.

Duties and Responsibilities

Managing several complex sites.
Site Manager and personnel
Maintaining Client relationships.
Site costing
