POSITION INFO:
One of our clients in Logistics is looking to hire a Driver Trainer that is responsible for providing comprehensive training to drivers to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant driving practices. This includes conducting initial and ongoing training sessions, assessing driving skills, and ensuring that drivers meet the company's safety and operational standards. The role involves preparing training materials, providing hands-on instruction, and evaluating the performance of drivers through practical assessments.

MUST HAVE – UNIT STANDARDS
123253 – Operate a rigid heavy vehicle – level 04
123254 - Operate a vehicle combination – Level 04
123259 – Convey dangerous goods by road – Level 03
24297 – Operate advanced defined purpose lift trucks – Level 03
242974 – Operate counter- balanced lift trucks -Level 03
242978 - Operate truck-mounted cranes – Level 03
242981- Operate defined purpose lift trucks – Level 02
243276 – Manage the transportation of mobile elevated work platforms (MEWP) – Level 04
252250 – Apply firefighting techniques – Level 01

REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12 or equivalent
Code EC driver’s license with valid PrDP
Proven experience as a driving instructor
Clear driving record
Clear criminal record
Excellent verbal and written communication
Patience and enthusiasm
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Ability to work during evenings and on weekends, as required
