SUMMARY:
Are you an exceptional General Manager who can successfully on-board, lead and manage an E-Commerce/On line sales business, of an already established brand, in accordance with the brands globally proven models, philosophies, policies and procedures?

POSITION INFO:

The General Manager (e-Commerce), will lead the project and run the business, by taking on full responsibility for all decision-making and act as the ‘owner’ in all communications with the Group CEO.

Minimum Requirements:

  • MBA; B.Com; B.Sc or B.Eng Degree.
  • Min 10 years’ work experience, 5 years’ managerial experience (pref automotive industry) (alternatively 3 years e-commerce managerial exp).
  • Experience in running/managing an e-commerce start-up. Relating digital activities to commercial outcomes.

Job Responsibilities:

Business Set Up:

  • Engage with necessary parties to approve and finalize all systems / platform / business operations.
  • Formulate strategic plans to ensure successful implementation of the developed business plan.
  • Implement all planned activities for the business set-up.
  • Lead negotiations and sign off on supplier agreements, delivery SLAs, fitment partner contracts.
  • Complete supplier and fitment partner visits and audits.
  • Budgets and pricing.
  • Lead and manage all business activities.
  • Develop annual business plans.

Business’ Leadership & Communication:

  • Define the strategic path forward for the business.
  • Set timelines with milestones to achieve success.
  • Drive all actions towards the strategic goals/initiatives.
  • Communicate results/performance.

Business Planning & Financial Control:

  • Monitor business performance against plan.
  • Interpret the market, business and customer trends and take appropriate action.
  • Create and maintain tight financial controls.
  • Understand the legal requirements of doing business.
  • Present a business-level overview of all costs and incoming revenue.
  • Make decisions for business continuity.

Sales Management:

  • Lead and approve marketing activities with Marketing Manager
  • Manage the Trade & Price team.

Customer Management:

  • Fully responsible for happy satisfied customers by going above and beyond.
  • Entrench the recommended traffic through creative customer journeys and return business monitoring/tracking.

Other:

  • Partner & supplier recruitment and development.
  • Employee recruitment; Training & Development.
  • Health, Safety & Security implementation and maintenance.
