Our client, a leading supplier of cement and related products in Southern Africa is looking for a qualified Electrical and Instrumentation Foreman for the role based at the site in Koedoeskop, Mpumalanga.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE	Grade 12 N5 Instrumentation or Industrial Electronics OR National Diploma Electrical Engineering/ Instrumentation Electrical Trade test - with a good Instrumentation backgroun Up to Medium Voltage experience Knowledge of electrical legal compliance under MHSA / OHS act 8 years Cement plant experience 4 years Packing plant experience Ventomatic equipment experience — Packing plant 12 years working experience as a Foreman /Technician. 5 years working experience as a Mechanician. MS Office packages (Word, Excel) Excellent communication skills Mentoring and Coaching Calibration of equipment Knowledge of the mine health and safety act Programming of SCADA system and PLC Siemens S7 ABB systems Analyzers experience Ability to use electrical test equipment and hand tools. Problem solving skills. Familiar with WHR systems (Waste Heat Recovery plant)

MAIN DUTIES:

• Good understanding of small electrical designs, electrical drawings, planning of small projects, installation and commissioning of electrical equipment and instruments.
• Working knowledge of Siemens S7-200 PLC, PCS7 DCS. and ABB systems
• Good knowledge of instruments like Siemens SITRANS P, SITRANS LR250/LU01/Pointek CLS200 level sensors, VEGA level sensors, E+H differential and pressure transmitters. (Where applicable)
• Review of PlDs prior to commissioning and issuing modification of PlDs according to project standards.
• Responsible for individual equipment trial and group trial of material handling to clinker transport departments and notifying management and programmers for any modifications in logic.
• Responsible for the 11KV reticulation
• Responsible for daily run of equipment like belt conveyors, bag filters, damper actuators, diverting gates, vibrating screens, apron feeders, bucket elevators and apron conveyors etc.
• Responsible for the daily run of the stackers and reclaimers.
• Must have the vision to optimize systems
• Responsible for the silo aeration systems for Raw Meal Silo and Cement Silos.
• Coordination with supplier for Siemens supplied Gas Analyzer System for preheater and coal mill sections.
• Responsible for the maintenance of the CO2 system - Coal mill
• Coordinating and assisting the supplier for Ventomatic supplied packer machines.
• Responsible for the magnetic separators and metal detectors of Cement Mill Department.
• Responsible for all belt conveyors, bag diverters, damper actuators, vibrating screens and bag filters in the packing plant department.
• Assisted with scheduling and planning on OnKey
• Inspection of all electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Planning of E/l spare parts (South African versus Chinese spares)
• Plan/Supervise all construction (Small projects inhouse) activities related to electrical and instrumentation installations plant wide.
• Optimize process control by PID loop configuration suggestions
• Testing of earthing and lightning layout for process buildings and substations.
• Good working knowledge of the ABB VSD''s e.g., ACS 2000
