ERP Planner (BAAN) – Engineering Industry

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role: 

• A Diploma/Certificate in relevant field is essential.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar field.
• Proven experience in EPR systems (BAAN, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics)
• Problem-solving and interpersonal skills needed.
• Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Must have excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A technical aptitude is required.
• Strong IT skills (Infor / Baan Super-User).
• Must have proven analytical experience utilizing tools such as Excel, Power Pivot / Power BI.
• Knowledge of the Mining Industry is an advantage. 
• Assertiveness and attention to detail is a must.
• Own transport required.

 The successful candidate will be responsible for: 

• Analysing production demand as well as workshop capacity and calculate efficient supply within the required time constraints.
• Planning and scheduling workflow for each department and operations according to established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
• Planning sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation and other manufacturing operations.
• Expediting operations that delay schedules and amend schedules to meet unforeseen delays.
• Preparing and circulating regular production reports and schedules.
• Proactively reporting on obsolete non-moving inventory.
• Developing and implementing solutions to improve inventory turnover.
• Providing effective analysis and business solutions through integrating ERP and other information at the company.
• Analysing current systems and work directly with users and management to define system requirements, assisting with design and propose solutions to configure software and align with the company’s business processes.
• Developing and implementing ERP solutions in collaboration with business process owners.
• Customizing and configuring workflow to facilitate ERP integration with other applications, as may be required.
• Identifying and troubleshooting issues with ERP systems. Ensuring that ERP system runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible. Developing and implementing solutions for any shortcomings that may arise.
• Developing and integrating relevant ideas and concepts from users and managers into meaningful data measurement tools and reports.
• Working in collaboration with managers to modernize business processes and systems, automating business solutions and increasing operating efficiency of the company.
• Developing user-friendly functionalities and interfaces in the ERP system.
• Conferring regularly with department managers to provide updated information as well as to determine the status of assigned projects.
• Maintaining all online systems accurately to reflect order and supplier information.
• Participating in the design, planning, measurement, control and monitoring of various business processes from an ERP perspective.
• Preparing development progress updates and documenting ERP system processes.
• Keeping abreast of the latest ERP upgrades and offerings.
