ETL Developer

SUMMARY:

Our client in the banking industry is looking for an ETL developer to be a part of their growing organization. The role is based in Johannesburg North.

POSITION INFO:
Duties:

• Azure or AWS certified
• SQL (snr level) including SSIS, SSAS and SSRS
• Extensive experience with ETL design and execution
• Experience with PowerBi, Qlikview or Tableau reporting
• Experience with the analysis of customer needs for the design of reports
• Database Architecture
• Databases on Cloud (AWS & AZURE)
• Supporting SQL in multiple domains
• SQL on VM Infrastructure
• Database Performance Monitoring and Tuning
• Ensure Database Availability at all times
• Database Security and Audit
• Database Backup and Recovery with Data team
• Capacity Management
• Maintain Data Integrity
• Migration
• Troubleshoot of incidents and permanent fixes
• Monitor and analyses performance issues.
• Ensure compliance with operational / change management guidelines
• High Availability and Disaster recovery

• Bachelor''s Degree: Information Technology
• At least 5 years’ work experience in a technology / digital / analytics role
• At least 5 years’ work experience in SAS and SQL development, with a view of learning additional tools as required (e.g. Spark)
• At least 2 years’ work experience in AWS development using Redshift and/or Athena
• At least 2 years’ work experience in Hadoop
• Expert knowledge of data warehousing and data architecture solutions and processes
• Expert knowledge of data services, data discovery and visualization tools: DaaS, SSIS, PowerBI
