SUMMARY:
We are looking for an ETQA specialist to join our team
POSITION INFO:
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Accreditation
a. Maintain and extend the scope of the Afrika Tikkun Services Accreditation with the relevant ETQA bodies and government departments within South Africa.
b. Support the organization with key industry accreditation and quality assurance requirements.
c. Ensure that facilitators, assessors and moderators are trained, registered and aligned to the programme delivery requirements.
d. Sit on relevant ETQA industry bodies and influence industry changes in legislation.
2. Research and development
a. Oversee the development and customization of all learning programmes (learnerships, qualifications, short courses).
b. Manage the quality of each learning programme to ensure the highest standard of customer service and delivery.
c. Identify the latest technologies and online platforms for the effective delivery of learning programmes.
3. Project management
a. Manage and oversee the quality assurance requirements of all discretionary grant funded programmes to ensure that SETA deliverables and requirements are met.
b. Manage and oversee the quality assurance requirements of all learnership, apprenticeship and skills programmes.
4. Quality assurance processes and systems
a. Set up and establish an integrated online Learner Management System that is able to support all reporting and service delivery requirements.
b. Manage the Afrika Tikkun Services filing systems and processes in line with quality assurance and client requirements.
c. Oversee the assessment and moderation requirements of Afrika Tikkun Services.
d. Ensure that all learner achievements are uploaded onto the relevant systems and platforms.
e. Oversee the quality assurance processes for the issuing of certificates and learner reports.
f. Develop an integrated auditing system to ensure that both ETQA and client audit requirements are met (incl. BBBEE).
5. Reporting
• Generate training reports and submit to relevant stakeholders.
• Contextualize, Design, implement, maintain and update a Quality Management System
• Ensure continuous compliance to different departments and stakeholders in the SETA/ DHET/ as well as Quality assuring bodies policies and procedures
• Engage and build SETA/Stakeholder relationships, and ensure the holding of records thereof.
• Research and create a process and workflow model for management of individual SETA requirements
• Manage the upload of learner results across multiple SETA’s, as per SETA specific requirements.
• Follow up and book external moderations/verifications/ as well as external moderation management.
• Prepare for external moderation / verification and ensure compliance of all projects
• Manage external moderation visits and verifications, and follow ups with the SETA ETQA (and certification department)
• Ensure registration and compliance of Assessors and Moderators (specific to SETA requirements and maintain currency)
• Follow up to ensure learner certification
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
• Operated within the ETD field for a minimum of 5 – 8 years
• National Diploma: ODETDP minimum or relevant qualification
• Previous experience in Education and Training Quality Assurance Administration / Management
• Registered Assessor and Moderator with vast amount of practical experience
• Vast knowledge, understanding and experience across the SETA domain, Quality assuring bodies, Outcomes Based Education, NQF implementation, training and development consulting.
