JOB PROFILE / LOCATION: A Permanent Executive / Professional Level Position in the Financial Services Industry (Insurance Sector) based in Sandton, Johannesburg (Gauteng) REMUNERATION DATA: Highly Negotiable / Market Related plus premium based on experience

POSITION INFO:

JOB SUMMARY: My Client, a leading international insurer is in search of a suitably qualified and experienced individual to assume the above-mentioned role within their organisation. The successful candidate will manage a team of actuaries and

students expected to be active in various management and organisational forums for organisation’s Life Operation. Duties will include: -

• Heading up the Balance Sheet Management (Life) Unit
• Assuming responsibility for the team’s output and service levels with clients
• Assuming responsibility for liability balance sheet management and reporting
• Assuming responsibility for capital management and reporting
• Assuming responsibility for asset strategy development
• Engaging directly with clients on balance sheet management related matters
• Predominantly covering SA, but also smaller off-shore operation

CRITERIA / REQUIREMENTS

• Ideal candidate will be a qualified actuary with at least 6 - 8 years’ working experience with the majority being within life insurance.
• Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentation), organisational and interpersonal skills are paramount
• Must have the ability to work accurately under pressure, think laterally and analyse complex problems
• Must be a quick learner and a self-starter with an eye for detail
