JOB SUMMARY:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Master’s Degree in Education or in fields related to ECD
  • Eligibility and willingness to register for a PhD qualification.
  • Teaching and research ability is highly recommended
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in discharging duties
  • Computer literate.
  • Driver’s license
 
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 
  • Lecture students at undergraduate level;
  • Setting and assessment of examination papers, and portfolio of evidence;
  • Supervise students during Work-based-learning
  • Curriculum review and programme development;
  • Supervise students’ research at undergraduate levels;
  • Involvement in departmental research and publications;
  • Initiate and be involved in community engagement initiatives;
  • Assist with departmental administrative duties
  • Completion of a Doctoral degree during the first three year of employment as an nGAP Lecturer.
  • Take part in liaising with relevant stakeholders in different departments and establish collaborations with potential partners within the ECD sector.
