POSITION INFO:
Effluent Plant Operator required for a manufacturing / packaging company based in East London
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 - Pure Maths in Matric is essential
Job Requirements:
- Relevant experience
- Energetic and motivated
- Must be able and willing to work shifts and overtime as required
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
- Ensure the filter and meter draining water into the municipality pit is kept clean
- Daily records to be kept up to date
- Empty out effluent bin as needed
- Ensure all pumps are in good working condition
- Empty filter-press once per shift
- Cleaning of decanter machine as required
- Cleaning of starch pit and effluent pit at each machine every second week
- Cleaning of effluent holding bins and bung wall spills when required.
- House Keeping
- Must adhere to company Safety Standards
- Keep oil store and chemical store clean and tidy
- Maintain and operate the recycle water plant.
