Permanent Opportunity A well-established industrial operation is seeking an experienced Electrical Chargehand to lead its electrical maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified artisan with strong leadership skills and a proven ability to oversee maintenance, fault-finding, installations, and continuous improvement within an industrial environment. Key Responsibilities Supervise and lead a team of electricians, overseeing daily maintenance, repairs, and installations. Identify and troubleshoot complex electrical faults, providing effective solutions and technical guidance. Plan and coordinate daily work schedules, allocate tasks, and ensure work is completed efficiently. Coordinate with project managers and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and timely project completion. Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with industry standards and regulations. Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and quality standards, including conducting regular safety checks. Test, inspect, and certify electrical installations to ensure quality and compliance. Monitor the use of materials, manage equipment, and coordinate the ordering of spare parts. Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure high standards are maintained. Mentor, train, and develop junior electricians to support their professional growth. Minimum Requirements Matric. Valid Electrical Trade Certificate. Minimum of 3 years'' experience as a qualified Electrician. Previous leadership or supervisory experience. Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding abilities. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and plans. Sound knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and relevant regulations. Strong communication and team leadership skills. Valid electrical certifications and licences.
