Electrical Consulting Engineer

SUMMARY:
A leading consulting engineering firm is seeking a skilled Electrical Consulting Engineer to join their dynamic team, based in Cape Town. POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Design plans and specifications of electrical building services including power, lighting, and reticulation systems
• Conduct site inspections, project management, and technical reporting
• Prepare detailed engineering documentation in compliance with the relevant codes and standards
• Collaborate with clients, Architects, and other engineering disciplines
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Junior Engineers and Technicians

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BEng or BSc)
• Professional registration with ECSA as a Pr Eng, or in progress
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a consulting engineering environment
• Proven experience in electrical building services design
• Proficient in software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical calculation tools
• Strong communication and client-facing skills

• Experience in green building and sustainable design principles
• Knowledge of SANS standards and municipal requirements
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
