Electrical Design Engineer

SUMMARY:
Great opportunity for a passionate Electrical Design Engineer to join an international industry leader. Use your exceptional electrical design skills to develop layouts and system specifications to improve manufacturing processes

POSITION INFO:

Collaborate with various engineering teams on design specifications and requirements

Electrical component integration

Managing project lines and evaluating scope of work

Ensuring designs meet supplier and regulatory requirements

Product data management

Cost saving design implementations and ease of installation

Collaborate with suppliers on designs

Electrical systems design, using 3D CAD and 2D schematic software, including 3D wiring design in Siemens NX

Skills & Experience:

Must have the ability to work independently and part of a team

Exceptional task management capabilities

Must be computer literate (Advanced Excel)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Great eye for detail and problem-solving capabilities

OEM design experience will be an advantage

Preparing bills of materials and their representative 3D assemblies

Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ design experience

Qualification:

BSc / BEng / BTech Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering

Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
