SUMMARY:
Recruiting an Electrical Design Engineer that is technically strong with experience in industrial and mining electrical design who is willing to travel to project sites when required.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities: Develop and coordinate electrical designs for industrial and mining projects. Prepare design specifications, scopes of work, bill of quantities, and tender documentation. Design and specify: MCCs (IEC 61439) Substations Lighting and small power systems Cable racking systems Transformers and electrical equipment Perform cable sizing, equipment selection, layout design, and heat-rise calculations. Ensure compliance with SANS, OHS Act, MHS Act, and relevant international standards. Liaise with clients and project teams to ensure successful project delivery. Provide detailed design documentation to support manufacturing, software engineering, and implementation phases. Minimum Requirements: Degree, Technical Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering. Proven electrical design experience within industrial plants, mining, or heavy industry. Strong knowledge of MCC design (IEC 61439), substations, power distribution, and industrial electrical systems. Experience with electrical design software and engineering standards. Knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems. Exposure to mining projects preferred. Pr Eng registration advantageous Willing and able to travel to project sites when required.
