SUMMARY:
Join a highly-skilled engineering team at a pioneering manufacturing facility located in the Western Cape! We are seeking an enthusiastic Electrical Design Engineer to contribute to a vibrant, talented team.

POSITION INFO:
As the Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing cutting-edge electrical circuits and automation systems. Your expertise will be vital in producing detailed electrical drawings and PLC control programs, ensuring the smooth electrical commissioning of equipment. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in creating and updating all relevant machine documentation, as well as providing technical and customer support.

To excel in this role, you should possess a minimum Diploma in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering, with a preference for a BEng or BTech Engineering qualification. Ideally speaking, you should have 1-3 years of experience working with electrical circuits, automation design of machinery, and PLC programming.

The company values technical expertise, and familiarity with Siemens TIA Portal and Step 7 is essential. Knowledge of Allen Bradley, Delta, and B&R Automation Studio will be a significant advantage. Furthermore, a comprehensive understanding of electrical CAD packages such as Eplan and P8 would be favourable.

As a computer literate professional, you should have a general high-level grasp of hardware, operating systems, and communication. It is important that you are both independent and a team player, with a positive attitude and reliability. You should also be open to national and international travel!
