Electrical Designer (E-Plan)

SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for an experienced Electrical Designer (E-Plan) to join their team based in Port Elizabeth. This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in automation systems and electrical circuit design, who is looking to take the next step in their engineering career.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical circuits for automation systems in line with industry standards
• Electrical commissioning of equipment
• Create electrical panel layouts and detailed automation drawings
• Provide technical support during equipment build, as well as support for customers and on-site technicians
• Assist with troubleshooting and integration of imported equipment
• Prepare and maintain accurate electrical documentation
• Source and select appropriate electrical components

Skills & Experience Required:

• 1–2 years of experience in electrical design and automation for machinery and PLC systems
• Proficiency in electrical CAD software; E-Plan P8 experience is highly advantageous
• Knowledge of electrical drives and machinery
• Familiarity with Siemens TIA Portal, Step 7, and/or Allen Bradley CompactLogix (advantageous but not essential)

Qualifications:

• B-Tech or B-Eng in Electrical Engineering or a related field
