JOB SUMMARY:
My client, an agricultural company is recruiting an Electrical Engineer for their Grain Department in Lichtenburg.
A Degree in Electrical Engineering, 4 years' experience and good design knowledge is essential, as well as the ability to communicate in Afrikaans and English.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements:

Degree in Electrical Engineering
A government competence certificate would be highly advantages.
Min 4 years relevant experience in the industry
Excellent knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation.
Good design knowledge with associated knowledge of SABS codes and so on
Excellent knowledge of appropriate tools, instruments, machines, and equipment in use.
Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English.

Duties and responsibilities:

The management of the electrical department in all facets (technical, administrative and personnel) in the absence of the work manager: electrical.
Reporting budget deviations and taking corrective actions.
Applying the Occupational Health and Safety Act by, among other things, identifying unsafe installations and taking corrective action.
Solicitation of tenders for operational purposes.
Planning of capital and maintenance projects which includes cost estimates, detailed design of installations and networks and drawing of network diagrams.
Project management and the execution of projects through site supervision, quality and cost control, scheduling construction programs and optimal utilisation of resources.
