Electrical Engineer: Solar

Our client is a forward-thinking renewable energy company that is seeking a passionate and skilled Solar Electrical Engineer to join their growing team. POSITION INFO:
Duties:

• Design and develop electrical systems for residential, commercial, and utility-scale solar PV projects.
• Create detailed electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and layout plans.
• Perform system simulations and load calculations using industry-standard software (e.g., PVSyst, AutoCAD, and HelioScope).
• Ensure compliance with NEC, IEC, IEEE, and local electrical codes and standards.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Field Engineers, and construction teams to ensure successful system deployment.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess installation quality and troubleshoot issues.
• Prepare documentation for permitting, interconnection, and commissioning processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in solar PV system design and engineering.
• Strong knowledge of electrical theory, PV system components, and grid-tied solar systems.
• Proficiency in design software: AutoCAD, PVSyst, Helioscope, and Excel.
• Familiarity with battery storage and hybrid systems is a plus.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain one is a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
