Electrical Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client is a well-established electrical consulting firm based in Sandton, Gauteng. They provide expert electrical solutions to the construction industry, with a strong focus on compliance, quality, and project efficiency.

Travel Requirement: Frequent travel between project sites (from Limpopo to Melrose). Overnight accommodation provided where necessary.

POSITION INFO:
Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Manager to oversee and manage electrical operations across multiple construction sites. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Electrician with a valid Wireman’s License, possess hands-on site experience, and have strong leadership skills. This role involves travel to various sites and overseeing a team of electrical staff to ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a team of 5 electricians on various construction projects.
• Conduct and verify Certificates of Compliance (COCs) for completed electrical work.
• Ensure all work complies with SANS regulations and relevant safety standards.
• Coordinate site activities and manage timelines, materials, and team productivity.
• Conduct regular site inspections across project locations from Limpopo to Melrose.
• Report project progress, risks, and issues to senior management and stakeholders.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, and client representatives on technical matters.

Candidate Requirements:

• Wireman’s License (registered and valid).
• 3–5 years’ experience as a qualified Electrician in the construction sector.
• 3–5 years of management or supervisory experience in an electrical environment.
• Based in Gauteng, with flexibility to travel between sites and stay overnight when required.
• Solid understanding of electrical compliance and safety standards (e.g., SANS).

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
