Our client is searching for a Electrical Systems Technician to join their team in Mpumalanga
KEY RESULT AREAS
- Install, test, and maintain electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and lighting.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical components.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to modify or upgrade systems.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment status, and parts inventory.
- Support emergency repairs and participate in on-call rotations, as needed.
- Diagnose electrical issues using technical drawings, schematics, and testing equipment.
- Managing a team of Technicians.
- Complying with OHASA requirements.
- Budget Control.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Qualified in Electrical Trade (must have), Wireman's License (it’s an advantage, but not a necessity)
- Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field
REQUIRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years experience related on electrical and project Engineering
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes (e.g., NEC, IEC) and safety standards
RECOMMENDED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & QUALITIES
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good knowledge of MV and LV equipment
- Advanced PLC knowledge (Allen Bradley, Siemens S 5 & 7)
- Good Instrumentation Knowledge
- Decision Making Ability
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Self-Driven Computer literate.
