A leading player in the manufacturing sector is looking to appoint a highly skilled Electrical Technician to join their Sasolburg-based team.

A leading player in the manufacturing sector is looking to appoint a highly skilled Electrical Technician to join their Sasolburg-based team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional with deep technical knowledge and a strong focus on reliability and continuous improvement.

Working within a high-performance environment, the successful candidate will be responsible for fault finding, problem solving, and driving equipment reliability improvements. This role is vital to maintaining the integrity and efficiency of a busy production facility.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure full compliance with OHS Act and statutory requirements
Conduct MTTR & MTBF analysis to identify problematic equipment and areas for improvement
Review maintenance schedules, work orders, and resource utilisation
Execute root cause analyses and support reliability improvement initiatives
Approve purchase orders within cost limits and liaise with service providers
Drive and maintain 5S workplace organisation principles
Collaborate with reliability engineers and support RCA investigations
Support the execution of asset care strategies and maintenance best practices

Requirements:

N6 / B.Tech in Engineering with a Trade Test (Red Seal)
Diploma in relevant engineering discipline preferred
CRMP certification advantageous
5–10 years’ experience in a maintenance environment, ideally with asset care involvement
Expert-level skills in fault finding, problem solving, and repair methods
Strong understanding of CMMS and maintenance planning systems
Proficient in MS Office and computer literacy essential
Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills
Able to work under pressure and deliver results
Strong commitment to health, safety, and compliance
Multiskilled and adaptable, with experience in plant-specific equipment
