POSITION INFO:

Our client is seeking an Electrician to join their team, based in Stutterheim.

Minimum Requirements:-

• 3-Year Electrician or related experience in Production environment
• Current Wireman's License
• Driver's License

Duties:-

• Align and calibrate machinery and equipment parts as required for efficient and safe operation
• Grind and file machinery parts both on-site and in controlled circumstances
• Inspect construction to meet project-based needs
• Direct workers when interacting with or using equipment
• Ensuring that the Storeman always has stock on hand of all parts required for preventative maintenance
• Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes
• Maintain a working schedule detailing weekly duties that need to be carried out and log daily activities
• Assisting with other trades such as plumbing, electrical, etc.
• Undertake new installations or upgrading work
• Perform welding and metal work as needed
• Carry out preventative maintenance, inspections and necessary repairs
• Move equipment to appropriate site for repair or maintenance to avoid contamination or workplace safety hazards
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and detailed repair drawings related to construction equipment and machinery
• Dismantle equipment when required for repair or transportation and reassemble it at the appropriate time
• Installations for machines on-site and instruct other workers about safe and efficient interaction with machinery and equipment
• Ensure that all paperwork and checklists are completed correctly and submitted as required
• Ensuring that all machinery is always in good working order and in a constant state of good repair
• Ensuring availability for standby duties
• Conducting shift work
• Attend to breakdowns timeously to avoid downtime
• Carry out necessary preventative maintenance to avoid downtime
