JOB SUMMARY:
Work a market leader in the FMCG industry. Carry out responsibilities of Plant functions and Engineering functions of the site maintenance teams while enjoying a competitive salary and great benefits.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Monitor and adjust, when necessary, plant set points to ensure the effective and efficient running of plants
Inspection of all electrical and mechanical equipment on the bakery site.
Monitor and inspect the plant for potential and existing defects
Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment
Fault finding and repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment
Installation and project work as required
Perform standby on a rotational basis
Work overtime because of breakdowns and planned maintenance when required
Check report books daily and liaise with Maintenance Manager on action to be taken on reported defects.
Report any defects noticed while performing normal functions
Perform breakdown functions on electrical and mechanical equipment at the Bakery.

Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in baking and milling environment, after obtaining qualifications
Hands-on knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems
Experience with scales, speed drives, pneumatic, electrical, instrumentation and hydraulics
Must be able to read and update electrical drawings
Experience with electrical power distribution (medium and low voltage)
Knowledge of safety checks on mechanical equipment in accordance with OHSA

Qualification:
MERSETA Qualification preferred
TRADE TEST ELECTRICIAN with an N3-6 would be preferred
Required to work overtime Sundays and Public Holidays as a result of breakdowns and planned maintenance when required
Required to work on a rotational shift basis
