Electronic Design Engineer - Hardware PCB

SUMMARY:
Collaborate with others to offer innovative methods of differentiating the Companys products from others on the market. Create models and prototypes, handle calculations required for manufacturing specifications. In charge of testing and developing products to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality are met.

REQUIREMENTS

• B-Eng Electronic Engineering Degree
• 3 – 5 years’ experience PCB level electronic design experience
• Proficiency in Altium Designer work environment
• Digital, Analogue and RF experience essential
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with the use of Electronic Test and Measurement Equipment
• Experience in an Electronic Simulation Environment
• Fault Finding to component level.
• Understanding of Schematics
• Knowledge of EMI & Safety Standards
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills
• Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude.
• Attention to detail

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design electronic components, products, or systems for commercial, industrial, or scientific applications
• Develop maintenance and testing procedures for electronic components and equipment.
• Evaluate systems and recommend design modifications or equipment repair.
• Ability to build prototypes by hand.
• Inspect electronic equipment, instruments, and systems to make sure they meet safety standards and applicable regulations.
• Plan and develop applications and modifications for electronic properties used in parts and systems to improve technical performance.
• Analyze the needs of internal customers to determine system requirements and the cost of developing electronic system plans.
• Conduct system evaluations and make appropriate recommendations to modify designs or repair equipment as needed.
• Identify and recommend system improvements to improve technical performance.
• Define and execute testing and maintenance procedures for electronic software and components.
• Inspect electronics to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and safety standards.
• Strong soldering ability
• PCB fault finding to component level
