Electronic Firmware Engineer

SUMMARY:
Electronic research and development company in the Western Cape requires a Firmware Engineer to assist with Cutting edge new Product Development. Skills needed in embedded C/C++ design as well as Hardware development. Will be responsible to take ownership of complete product designs from PCB component Hardware and firmware to Software (embedded) development.

POSITION INFO:

FIRMWARE ENGINEER.

Western Cape

Firmware engineer required with a sincere interest in Low Voltage and Low Power Product development, IoT and mobile application interconnectivity to devices using Bluetooth Low Energy.

Qualification:

B. Eng./ M. Eng. or equavalent qualification in Electronic Engineering

Skills required:

• 2+ years of experience in the Embedded design field
• PCB Design
• C/C++ programming
• Firmware/Hardware design
• Knowledge of Low voltage design and low power systems
• Python scripting language skills

 Responsibilities:

• Embedded software development & programming.
• Create component Prototyping,
• PCB Design and layouts on Altium.
• Design low power hardware solutions
• Develop firmware.
• Proficient at schematic capture
• Debug and design embedded electronic hardware and firmware.
• Design embedded GUI and UI / UX applications
• Integrate and test overall system.
• Maintain Quality Management System for products developed.
