POSITION INFO:
Our client in have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Technical Support Engineer to join their field application engineering team in Cape Town. If you have a Btech in Electronics or Mechatronics and 2 years of experience, we want to hear from you! As a Junior Technical Support Engineer, you will be an integral part of the customer relationship process. You'll be responsible for providing technical solutions and support to their valued customers, both during the design-in and post-sales phases. You will have the chance to work with cutting-edge technology, including GNSS, short range, and cellular wireless products.

Education:

Btech Electronic/Mechatronic Engineering

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Support customers in the design-in and post-sales phases with GNSS, Bluetooth, LoRa, Sigfox, Wi-Fi, GSM/GPRS, UMTS/HSPA, CDMA, and LTE modules and chips.
Conduct Design Reviews on customer designs using a Design Review template.
Collaborate with the sales team to secure new business opportunities.
Resolve technical issues in customer products.
Evaluate analyzed Returned Material and provide feedback to the sales team.
Coordinate support activities.
Conduct bench tests and RMA screening
C/C++ Embedded System Programming experience
PCB Hardware design experience an added advantage
3-5 years’ experience in the above field
