Electronic Technician

Together with our client, an electronic manufacturing company in Pretoria East we are recruiting for a Technical Assistant. The Ideal Candidate needs to have 2 - 3 years of relevant experience and must hold a BEng or Equivalent qualification.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Generate bill of materials and ensure accuracy against part lists and supplier quotes
• Benchmarking best cost on BOM Connector
• Reduce MOQ’s
• Shorten lead times
• Find suitable alternatives for obsolete items/long-lead items with the appropriate data sheets
• Assist with any technical queries relating to all projects
• Report continuous feedback to industrialization manager regarding their projects and components as well as any problems encountered
• Report feedback to industrialization manager regarding any changes in the pricing of components
• Monitor RQF turnaround time

• Must read, write, and speak al least English fluently
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong time management skills
• Excellent computer skills
• Must have good administration skills and discipline
• Must have a strong personality and not be easily intimidated or manipulated
• Must have good problem-solving skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Willing to work long hours and be available for night shits
• Previous experience in negotiations with suppliers at all levels

Required Minimum Qualifications

• Matric
• BEng or Equivalent
