Electronics Technologist

SUMMARY:
Electronic Technician required at company that delivers products to the Mining industry. Electronic engineer/ technician required to ensure that manufacturing aspects is done according to quality system within dedicated areas in compliance to the ISO 9001 framework .

Johannesburg 

Senior Electronic technologist/ engineer required to manage a team of electronic Technicians in Manufacturing. Work with plants and sections to improve the compliance to ISO 9001 and the Quality Management Systems

Qualifications , Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

• B.Eng. Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Equivalent/Relevant tertiary qualifications
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in electronic or explosive product and component manufacturing
• Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing philosophies
• Knowledge of good explosive practices 
• Knowledge of electronics components
• Understanding of quality management system and ISO 9001

Responsibilities: 

• Handling of Internal / External customer complaints and analysis of non- conforming raw materials, plant failures and customer complains samples.
• Optimising productivity through improvements of systems and work methods.
• Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
• Monitor quality performance of process plants, analyze operating data to identify opportunities, develop action plans, and implement process improvements.
• Promote and lead Good Manufacturing Practice in the Plants.
• Investigates and troubleshoots plant/process problems and performs Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Technical report writing.
• Compliance to ISO 9001 and the Quality Management Systems
