JOB SUMMARY:
rain is developing its own, innovative 5G broadband access products for sale and distribution to a global audience. It is looking for applicants who have solid experience in linux application engineering, ideally with experience in linux based embedded systems, including OpenWRT such as wireless access point, routers, gateways, and mesh node products. The candidate will be required to develop embedded software for these products and integrate these into management systems. Applicant will have the opportunity to liaise with global partners and be exposed to the entire ecosystem surrounding device manufacture, maintenance, and customization.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Critical requirements:

Passion for hacking and reverse engineering
3+ years of linux programming experience
1+ year of C/C++ programming experience
Experience in systems integration
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
Understanding of linux based embedded platforms
Strong problem-solving skills
Understanding of networking technologies, such as WiFi
Effective technical oral and written communication skills
Passion to enhance end user product experience

Preferred requirements:

Experience in BSP/kernel software design
Strong application engineering background in mobile telecoms (4G/5G)
Knowledge of Wi-Fi Physical layer and basic protocols and always look further to find the core of the issues and thoroughly understand root causes.
Experienced in cross-cultural and cross-functional situations to effectively coordinate across multiple technical domains
Embedded electronic engineering skills
Experience in Yocto, Python
Experience in IOT system (Zigbee, Thread, Matter)
